Horton Plains

Horton Plains National Park is in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. It was designateda national park in 1988 and is situated 32 kilometres from Nuwara Eliya and Ohiya. There are three major rivers in Horton Plains namely, Mahaweli, Kelani, and Walawe. Horton Plains also features several species of birds and plants that are endemic to the area. And another highlight of it is Baker’s fall, which is a welcome waterhole to cool off after the overwhelming climb to World’s End. It is a popular tourist destination, attracting many tourists around the world.
